I was recently reminded of my catalyst for capturing time as I was looking through some photos and came across my eldest son’s footprint at the age of one… inside mine.    god.. it goes by so fast..   i can remember holding that little foot in my hand.. and hopefully always will.

One of our past grooms and dear friends, Clay Chapman, has the opportunity to have his work showcased in Architectural Digest, the top industry related publication in the country.

Clay with his wife Katie, son Staughty, and baby #2 on the way.

He is a brilliant architect and artist and this would be a huge springboard for his career. Architectural Digest is highly competitive and it is quite an accomplishment to make it in. He has already been selected as a finalist and now it’s down to popular vote to seal the deal.

We periodically receive thank you notes from our couples.. which is amazing.. and means so much to us.  The most recent note we received was from the very sassy Kasey and Kaveh and is one of the coolest cards ever. On the outside is a photo of us photographing the formals at which time there was a sun spot shining through the trees which joi was blocking by standing on a chair and holding a reflector over her head.

At the time we joked to ourselves about how it must have looked… well, now we know..

I hung out with my good friend Jeffery Stoner the other day and photographed a few promo shots for his new “soon to be released” website. If you’re thinking about a video for your wedding check him out.. he’ll rock your socks off.

I recently had a young photographer approach me to do a little shoot for his portfolio material. Of course I was more than happy to help.. the shoot only lasted a few minutes but resulted in  the following photo of me (my favorite headshot ever).

After the shoot we had lunch and watched ninja turtles..
