We’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… engagement sessions are the s#!t. We love getting to know our couples before the big day and there is just no substitute for spending a little time together.
Jess and Ryan are very much in love, not only with each other but also their little one.. Henry Howie, who I must say is ridiculously adorable. Here’s a few of our favorite moments from our outing.
This is where Henry Howie spends most of his time.
The kids have a friend who owns this little (and by little i mean large) private zoo/imagination land/tiki bar/entertainment experience in Ponte Vedra.. think neverland ranch without michael jackson… and maybe a little acid.
Costa Rica played host to the joining of two amazing families as Lindsay & AJ tied the knot at the gorgeous Villa Caletas resort. In making travel plans we were basically told to remember two things… how to say “uno cerveza por favor” and to watch out for the thieving monkeys… well, we didn’t end up seeing any monkeys… but we did get to photograph some beautiful vistas and powerfully moving moments as these guys became man and wife.
Here’s just a few of our favorites…
also, a big thanks to Larissa with Weddings Costa Rica for coordinating such an amazing event.
We love that more and more couples are doing destination weddings. It is such a great way to maximize this once in a life time experience.
Thanks so much for inviting us into your lives guys,
Since she’s already hitched I can show off some shots from lindsay’s bridal shoot a couple of weeks ago just before heading off for her wedding.
We started at an amazing residence on the ocean in Ponte Vedra…
The house was designed in such a way that it invited the most beautiful light throughout the entire space… such an awesome place to shoot..
..of course having a sassy gorgeous lady in front of my lens doesn’t hurt either…
After a bit we headed up to the new One Ocean Resort in Atlantic Beach to check out their new space. The corridor leading to the restaurant is very groovy…
There are so many killer little features with different looks and feels… and lindsay was rockin’ them all..
If anyone’s looking for a sophisticated venue with a little south beach flair, this one’s definitely worth checking out.
we had an amazing time getting to know these two rock stars…
we started out at Mangos, a little dive bar at the beach where the kids love to hang out because you can always get a drink when the other places are packed.
joey seemed a little more reserved than usual on the beach…
we had a blast guys.. can’t wait till the wedding.
we were invited to spend the day at the Casa Marina in Jacksonville Beach and capture the wedding celebration of sara & joey..
here’s a few moments from their big day…
A few days after the wedding in Kentucky the Avasons decided to head down to the Ritz in Amelia Island for a little r&r. The boys were ring bearers and Shannon was the matron of honor for Andie and John.
We had a blast running around with these guys on the beach. Here’s a few of our favorite moments.
We met up with the guys on a brisk saturday morning to capture a few shots of the last game of golf John would play as a bachelor.
John was really good at the “lean technique” to steer the ball into the hole.
Later that day we headed to the wedding… here’s a few of our favorite moments.
I’ve seen many rockin’ grooms cakes but this one might be the most kick ass ever.
As the night was winding down the exit preparations were in put in place including a large container filled with sparklers… well, apparently the kids found the stash and went nuts…
well, it’s time to play catch up and post a few of the happenings that we have been involved with over the past several weeks.
First up, we headed to the beautiful Kentucky countryside for a lovely affair in Pikeville towards the end of june.
An interesting fact about Pikeville is that it’s the stomping grounds for the old Hatfield and McCoy feud… even more interesting, however, is that the closest starbucks is over 100 miles away..
Here’s a few moments from Andrea & Johns rehearsal…
I’m a bit of a softy at weddings but this was the first time I teared up at the rehearsal dinner… there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during the toasts as shannon presented andrea with a very sentimental gift.
Later in the evening the lights were dimmed for a slideshow of Andie and John growing up…
